Kenwood 6x9's and HU

My 61 year old pal with the heavily modified Tiburon hooked me up with a nice car accessory shop. They gave me a deal on a Kenwood HU ($210 or so) and Kenwood 6x9's ($150 pair, I believe they are part # KFC 6969IE) 4 way 300 total Watt 6x9s. Anyone have these speakers??? I didn't get a chance to hear them.

All I want is some nice quality sound with good bass with the 6x9's themselves. I don't want to have to get subs and an amp if I don't have to/

I'll do a search and see if I can find a pic

Well I found them...except these ones at bestbuy.com say they handle 220 Watts as opposed to the 300W that th ones I saw say (same part # too. :? )

You didn't go with the Pioneer, thats cool though, how about a pic of the HU?? :)

Those speaker are alright not $150 nice though

bonnie94ssei 11-18-2003 10:42 PM

The price they had at the shop was $150 installed. I got a discount though. I may still go with Pioneer speakers, I'm taking a trip to Best Buy tomorrow. The only speakers they had at this shop were those Kenwoods so I want to compare first.

I'll try to find a pic of the HU. I MAY not go with it though since it doesn't have red lighting.

Here's the deck. It's not bad, but I'd rather have red lighting all the way....although it's Satellite Radio-Ready.

i bet if u looked online u could find them for about a hundred. as far as installation goes. all u do is snap off the covers and put them in u could really save some money if u listen to me try nexxon.com thezeb.com and ikesound.com. u could also try just looking them up by doing a google search or something. just look around a little and i guarentee ull find a better price

etronics.com hands down the best
i think nexxon is toooo expensive btw all kenwoods are serius ready, it's their version of XM, it more for the music lover
