Default What are the best 6x9'* to get?

Ladies and Gentlemen

I need some new 6x9'* for the rear of my baby. I'm just about tired with the paper cone Delco stockers in the back. Now I now that a lot of you guys think Sony decks suck but thats to late now, I have my 600LX installed and I dig it.

I changed the fronts to Kenwood 4x6'* when the deck, remote starter and keyless entry was installed. Now my deck is a 300W deck (I think ) Anyway. Should I go Kenwood, JBL or Sony for the rear 6x9.

I'm going to throw up a poll for one week.

Drop me your feedback and I'll jump into it., oh feel free to add a brand, but I'm leaning towards the poll options

Thanks guys and keep rockin

Never been a fan of any of Sony'* auto products. I'd say either the JBL'* or Kenwood'*. Depends on pricing.

Ive heard some Xplode'*, and didnt like them much at all....not to mention they were blown within a week (powered by a Sony Xplode cd deck)
JBL - i dunno, never heard these.
Kenwood - a good brand, just never heard their speakers either.
Now i have a pair of Mtx 3way 6x9'* and they are great, was running a sincle 12" JL sub with a 600W amp that bumped okay, and they 6x9'* easily overcame the bass, and could hear them loud and clear (also hardly any distortion) - this was in a lowered nissan single cab truck.
Next im going for a pair of Kickers 6x9'*....i hear they are real good.
theres soooo many to choose from, just Please dont waist your money on any Sony speakers...

Truely I like Polk Audio speakers . Their tweeters are very sharp and all the other larger speakers put out monster tweet and mellow smooth sounding bass. This would be a good choice if your going to run subs and need the tweet.

JBL. I say this because Harmon and Kardon owns Infinity and JBL. I have Infity and I like the way their speakers sound, so I am assuming that JBL will sound halfway decent. My friend has sony explode 6x9'* in his Lumina and they sound horrible. Their speaker cones are made out of plastic and they make a cracking sound when bass hits. It'* not hard bass either, it'* just this awefull sounding bass. I'd pay a few bucks more and go for infinity though if it were me. Just in my oppinion though of course.
As for Kenwood I don't like the way their speakers sound really either. Their tweeters make a metallic tinny type of highs which I don't really prefer.

All you audio pros....remember, I want to go the inexpensive route for now....when I get the new 98 SSEi, she'll be getting the 9" LCD/DVD/CD/MP3 player with the 6-8 speaker and 2-12" subs...so, I'm leaning towards JBL for the 89. Whether is JBL or Kenwood they are a 2 year place holder..LOL

Keep it coming tho
