just got a bonneville a month ago. about rear speakers?

i have an 01' sse. the premium sound on the factory speakers is distorted for highs.

there is a clip that you can disconnect easily on the main speaker once its disattatched it hangs down freely. there is 2 wires in now loose clip.

attatched to the speaker still are two wires from the center of the speaker to a clip harness. my audiobahn speakers have two wires also but there is a built in clip into these speakers. in my a.b's there are two wires loose already from disattachment from an 85' lincoln towncar.

here is what im thinking will work. the loose clip has two wires--i cut the clip off exposing two wires-get a joiner- place the loose ends in and connect it to the already mentioned loose 2 wires on the audio bahns.

will doing exactly this work?

edit ; removing the back seat will take pulling out the two plastic bolts? behind the head rests correct?-to get to the speaker screws..

so are you trying to change the rear speakers? You can cut the wiring leads off of the original speakers and connect them to the aftermarket ones so you can just plug the new speakers in. You have to choose the right pair of wires because 2 wires are from the head unit and the other 2 are from the Gain amp. Someone familiar with the newer gen can give you the wiring colours.
