IPOD help! Is there a cd changer plug in my trunk? W/ PICS
Okay, I'm at my wits end. I have an '02 SLE and a snazzy new Ipod. The FM modulator I have is convenient but the audio quality is getting on my nerves. My tape deck rejects a tape adapter. I really want to find a way to hard wire my Ipod into my stock system. I have removed my head unit and there is no auxilary plug on the back, only the two posts and the main plug that slides into the back of the frame. Can anyone tell me how to determine if my car was ever wired from the factory for a changer and if I can use that to connect an Ipod. If not, has anyone else successfully done this? I have an Atlanta commute and this is killing me.

I thought that they were all wired for the disc changer irregardless of whether or not that they had one?

That's what I'm praying for but I haven't found the plug yet.

but sometimes it actually costs less for GM to make one Harness, and install it in the car, so it *might* be there

That's exactly what I wanted to use but I can't find the "existing CD changer port".
