Also, I have a really base SE, and miss the sound of the Bose from my old Bonne... is it possible to replace my whole system with a Bose system from another Bonneville, like JY or something? I hate knowing that my questions are dumb and that I have to ask them anyway, lol.

zuper8 i would definitely sat that you don't need to spend very much money at all on new 6x9'* if you plan on keeping your stock radio. I agree that Pioneer are the best ones for the money as well. I found some for as low as $59.00 but i would go with these.

Unless you are very good at integration you won't be able to use the Bose system, complete or otherwise, in your SE. I would instead replace all your speakers first as a starting point. I agree that Pioneer offers the best bang for the buck, but more expensive does not necessarily mean better.

Since you are keeping your factory head unit (stereo), I would shoot for replacement speakers that have a low RMS rating (The higher the rating, the more power that is required to drive them).

Also keep in mind GM factory stereos, more often the newer (94-99 I know at least), have an inverse proportional bass response. In normal speak: the higher you turn the volume up, the more the bass "flattens" in an attempt to save the speakers from killing themselves (provided those speakers are factory). Even the factory stereos with the EQ in them do this.

Hmm, that is a lot less money than I planned to spend I'm actually on campus at Miami University. Would those be complicated to put in?

Aftermarket speakers (almost ANY of them) are better than the bose setup, and will be easier and cheaper to get in the car.

Pretty much anything would be better than the stock speakers. Are you willing to part with the stock system? You will get better sound out of an all aftermarket system. Any 6x9 wil do the trick, but do not spend extra money for those super cool 4 way type speakers, its just marketing.
