Default CD stuck

My original CD player won't eject. It sounds like a cassette deck trying to eject. What do I do?

Try a thin piece of cardboard with some double sided tape on it? At work I get media cards stuck and we have this thick tape (the consistency of really think cardboard) and use that to remove it, maybe that will work.
