Default Question about my Grand Prix speakers *Now with pictures*

So I'm looking to put some after market stereo pieces into my new GP, but the rear speakers look rather...weird. Does anyone know what size the rears are? They're the stock AC Delco'*, but they look like 6x9 components. The main speaker is a 6x9 or something smaller, and it has a tweeter or something. Any input? I'd ask ClubGP, but they'd probably laugh me out of their forum or something. At least here, I am used to getting laughed at. :o

on the larger speaker cover.......if you have 2 "grilles" then you have a 6x9 and a tweeter, if you only have one then its just a 6X9

6x9 and a tweeter, isn't that kind of weird? What should I replace it with?

You have low passed 6x9s ran off of the delco amp located under the deck lid, and the 4" full range speakers powered off of the head unit. If you are considering different types of speakers depending upon if they're 2, 3 or 4-ways, it won't matterj. If you use those factory speaker leads you'll only get bass frequencies anyways.

Hmm, so you're saying I have 6x9 sub-like speakers, and then 4" full range? What should I replace them with? Not a brand name or anything, but what kind of speakers?

Or maybe I should go see what a local stereo place suggests...

best thing you can do is go and LISTEN to different speakers.....speakers are a personal preference, what someone else likes, you may hate

I already have my brand preferences (Boston Acoustics, etc...), but what I'm asking is what type of speaker. (IE, a 6x9 component type speaker). I would prefer to buy my speakers online, and even install them myself (although that'* not necessary). I also hate most stereo places because they try and force you to buy whatever gives them the most profit, so I'd like to have what I want set in my mind when I walk in there.
