hiding underbody neons

Has anybody here had luck hiding underbody neons on the sides? The ground effect moldings just don't leave enough room to conceal the tubes, but has anybody built little skirts or shields to hide the tubes?

Get a piece of plexiglass, and paint it black and bolt it with some metal brackets to the lights.
