Default Anybody have one of these for sale?

I just picked up a 99 Bonneville I bought off of ebay and the radio has no display. Does anyone have an oem cd/am/fm that looks like the one below. It has to have steering wheel capablity (or do they all?, I mean are there several different models that look like the one below?) And do all Pontiac (95-99) have the red display like a Bonneville?.
To see what my radio looks like, go to this one on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ory=38655&rd=1
Thanks for your help.
P.*. I also need a power attena.

I cannot be positive since I haven't disassembled my dash, but..... some observations...

The radio you are looking at is a model UP3. Another CD version is the U1C which has just two sliders "BASS" and "TREBLE", instead of the equalizer. (Otherwise looks identical)...

But as long as it is a UP3, then I would believe that it is the same no matter what brand of pontiac it came from, and would have the same LED colours, etc..

And again, although not positive, I would believe that a UP3 has all the necessary stuff for steering control, and that the "steering control option" refers only to whether or not the buttons are actually there on the steering wheel, and is probably just another connector on the radio. I would doubt very much that they would make two different radios.

I had one from a 96/97 GA in my car for about a week (up until alst night when I put in my aftermarket). I know it will fit my '95 but I do not know if it will fit in your 99 or if they have the same rear connections. If you pull you stock radio out and get a snap shot of the connections I can compare it to the GA deck I have.

Does the buttons light up? Or is it just the display out. There is just a light bulb behind the display that lights it up. I hopefully it can be replaced because my (in my 96) display went out the other day.

there is a tiny bulb behind the display. This is a common problem in the Pontiac radios, both of our Bonnies have had them go out, the dealer mechanic also told us that it was common. To take out the radio take a flat-tip screwdriver and pry the dash piece off. There are various connecting points, I started by the drivers door and worked my way across. After you unscrew the radio and take it out, the cover pops off and the bulb is in a brown holder that twists out. I think that it takes a 12V bulb. If you find a bulb that works post where you got it and what the p/n is, I have been unable to find a good replacement.

My light was not working so I took my stereo apart. I got the bulb out and it didn't look bad. I found out if I wiggled the brown part while it was in the radio the light would flicker. I took it back out and squeezed the metal connectors together. Put it back in and it works great. I looks like someone had a problem with it before because there was a pretty good blob of solder on one of the connectors. I looks like they tried to solder it in but didn't do a very good job. Needless to say it made the bulb a big pain to get out. I almost twisted the brown part in two.

Default Sorry so late

I responded to the duplicate post on the General Board, but didn't want to leave you guys hangin'.
I did as I was told and replaced the bulb and it works great. I got the bulb from a "trashed" radio in a salvage yard (they gave it to me). Works great, although it may be a bit brighter than the original one.
I also got two equalizer ***** off of it but they are opaque and don't light up. So I am still looking for a replacement that someone took out during an aftermarket upgrade.
