HELP, no keyless....

So i have a 1997 Bonneville SE, which before I bought, i tried to confirm online. Seemed to me that keyless entry was standard on all 97 models from all I could find online. So i bought the car despite them not having a transmitter (bought from dealer, car was traded with no transmitter). I bought one on Ebay that says it will work for 97, 98, and 99 bonnevilles and came with the programing instructions (jumper pin 8 and 4 procedure). Trouble is, i have a pin 4, but no pin 8!!! I looked at the RPO sticker and did not see the AOU code. am I out of luck with this? Was keyless entry standard on the bonneville in 97, I figured that since I have the power trunk button and lockout in the trunk that I should have keyless entry......

You must have a Package 1SB Bonneville.... The 1SB did not come with Keyless as a standard feature... If you had the 1SC package then keyless was standard...

I have a 95 with the 1SC Package and mine did not have Keyless... But I sure installed it

how do i do it?

how did you go about installing it, did you wire in the factory keyless? I went to the junkyard today for some misc. trim pieces, and found a few SSE bonnevilles that might still have the theft thingy in them. What would I need to do to get this setup? Its either that or I buy a cheapy aftermarket one, Best Buy will sell me one (a Viper) and install it for 130 plus tax out the door, but without the trunk pop (already have power trunk release).

I got the wiring and the Module from another Bonneville...

But in 96-99 Things were different.... You have what is called a Mall Module.. some of the things you need may already be there... I'd have to look into the wiring of the 96-97 to see what would be required..

It may be easier to have the system installed for you, Its a little bit of a headache..

But why can't they use one of the fields for the trunk release?

will the viper do.... Hit the unlock once and the drivers door unlocks and then press it again and the other 3 doors unlock? as well as one for the trunk?

It can operate the remote trunk release, but i have to buy another module, itsl ike 10 bucks, plus 35 to install it. I've never messed with an aftermark alarm system, so I don't know what that $35 entails labor wise. The part itself is $10, maybe its a solenoid and I don't need it cause i already have factory power trunk release.
anyways, this is the 211HV model from Viper, and it can control 2 auxillary options, though not sure what has to be added to run these. One of these options is "Progressive door unlock" but it says additional hardware and installation is required for that. Anyone had any experience with this setup and adding onto it?
