Putting New speakers in a 99 with Bose
I want to put 5.25" - ways in my 99 front doors. Does the Bose amp cross out the highs to the woofer? In other words, if I hook up the 2-ways to the woofer lead will the highs be crossed out? Just wondering.

So the Bose Crap only controls the rear 6x9s? I ask this because I get NO bass from the front at all, for the most part it is all mid range. The highs in the front even suck.

I SOOOO recommend you switch speakers there buddy. I put Alpine Type * 5.25" 2-ways and Infinity Reference 3-way 6x9'* in the rear of my old 98 SSE with the Bose and it sounded beyond incredible.
The sound stage was WAY improved and the quality and the cleanliness of the upper db range was such an improvement that people I know with some big systems in their Grand Prix'* (that were factory equipped with BOSE) were swearing I had switched out the factory BOSE amp also.
You will not have to get speaker wiring adapters as the Bose speakers had them installed from the factory.
Here are a link with a couple pics from when I did it (I didn't get any 5.25" pictures but the front'* have the wiring adapters too -but with a screw to secure them to the center of the magnet):

Another way to clean up the sound from the rear 6x9'* is to take the rear speaker covers off and remove the cloth between the plastic frame and the mesh covering -it vibrates and makes it sound like the 6x9'* are blown.
The guy who has my old 99 SSEi was going to put new 6x9'* in because it was so bad, but now with the cloth removed it sound alot less distorted.
