Well currently I have the stock head unit...stop screaming "yes" and hear me out.

Im considering getting either an aftermarket head unit, or possibly satellite radio, or even both.

I dont want to spend much more than 100 bucks or so, because even though I have quite a bit of money, Im trying to save as much as I can for school.

The highest power ratings I can find for HUs in my price range is 22 watts RMS.

I have upgraded speakers already, and the sound is pretty good as far as im concerned, but I would like to think it could still be better.

Im just kinda tossing around ideas here, right now I would like to get a CD player with built in satellite radio support, but those start at around 100 bucks, then you have to buy all the crap to get it to work.

What do you guys think?
All the HU would be pushing is the speakers in my sig and a set of stock tweeters.

i would say HELL YES, but if you only want to spend 100 bucks on a head unit, i would go used so that you can still get something of decent quality instead of spending 100 bucks on some POS "Dual"

Yesh, I'm not even an audiophile, but limiting yourself to $100 is gonna really limit your options.

Double that, and you will have a few better choices (they'll still be "pooh"ed by the serious stereo folks, though) Pretty sure you can get a decent Sony like I put in The Missus van for 200 bucks (plus parts I'm afraid)

I personally would not go used unless it was to mainatain a stock look.

I wouldn't go aftermarket unless you save up enough $$ to get something decent personally. Also, I wouldn't do it unless you can keep the steering wheel controls. You could go double DIN if you wanted, too. That'* an option to keep it stock looking as possible.

Here'* the one I have. Definitely not "top of the line", but good performance and features for the price. And the display can be set to red to match the dash.

Looks like it'* an older model, so might be hard to find

i agree with everyone, save up till youve got enough to get a `1/2 way dcecent radio pioneer makes soem good radios in the 130-150 range (plus parts)

Not a biggie when you're not on a huge budget IMO. I'm only driving one sub in my car, off of a 400w x1 @ 2ohm load (RMS). He'* looking for a lot of features at a price.
