rwe62382 08-25-2003 08:12 PM

i dont know
but what does work
i our bonnes

Roadrash187 08-25-2003 08:17 PM

Like are you looking to install it in the stock radio location, visor, roof, center consule, head rests?

rwe62382 08-25-2003 08:30 PM

no not the radio but somewhere else in the car i was thinking of buting it just befor the sunroof

I don't think there would be enough room on the roof for it.... what about around/near the glove box.

And you said "no" to replacing your stock radio, because I've seen some really cool LCDs that flip/flop into that slot.

rwe62382 08-26-2003 11:31 PM

i know but i like my stock radio it sound great

rwe62382 08-26-2003 11:36 PM

its bose dude

TaylorD 08-27-2003 01:01 AM

To each his own, I had BOSE too! Much happier now that it's gone!
Did you know that on BOSE systems, listen to the bass a low-med volumes, sounds good right? now turn it up and the bass dosen't get equally as loud as the mids and highs do. The low end in bose is ohm dependent and won't get equally loud to prevent distortion. I noticed it on mine once my installer told me this.

rwe62382 08-27-2003 01:41 AM

i know that is why i am beefing up the bass system

I got

Ac delco head unit with domesional sound speakers, 240watts.. stock sounds fine, I know there speakers out there today that putout 300watts alone but whatever.

Roadrash187 08-27-2003 04:00 AM

Thats what sucks about using a PAC adapter, with the stock headunit. It also does this with my subs. But hopefully come winter time Ill have my Polk Momo/Phoenix Gold/Kenwood setup goin. I also noticed my stock 6x9's are rated at 10 ohms.

On another note. I was thinking of replacing the stock headunit with a LCD, and putting the aftermarket radio either in the glove box or the A/C control din; and moving the A/c control either in the center consule or glove box. :banghead:

bmsgaffer86 08-27-2003 04:51 PM

Make the A/C unit completly remote... Have it display what its doing along the top of the instrument panel and have a couple of buttons hidden on ur console... :-D hehe, but dont ask me, how yet...

EDIT: I thought my "top of the instrument panel" might be mistaken for actuaally ON top... I mean just above the instrument cluster ON the dash..like above the speedo and such....Yeah so i just had to make sure of that

rwe62382 08-27-2003 05:29 PM

how does this sound for $350 for car dvd 6.4 TFT LCD 1000 watt 4.1 5chanel
amp

rwe62382 08-28-2003 12:04 AM

how thick of a power wire do you need for 1000 watts

Roadrash187 08-28-2003 02:24 AM

Asa far as price what brands are they. It seems to be a pretty good price but wont know until you list brands. But as far as the power wire goes. I would personally go with a 2 gauge, but nothing smaller than a 4 gauge.

rwe62382 08-28-2003 11:03 AM

good i was going to do 2 gauge anyway the brans foe the units i forgot but they are at walmart you can go online and look but this is the new stuff that walmart is carring
