THIS IS JUST MY OPINION
dont get a pioneer, everyones got em
get one with a big rotary volume ****, no push button volume changes (slow)
3-d graphic screens are cool, the bigger the better
has to be at least 50x4, and 20x4rms
im in love with my panasonic, but you say, "PANASONIC?? i bet that sounds like crap", well i have
had a few in my day, and i think its great. read my review at:

oh yeah, make sure it plays mp3'*, if you dont use em now, you will in the future
dont get kenwood, have never liked there headunits
rockford fosgate sounds good, but there controls feel really cheap
clarion and alpine are also awesome, but you pay for it
and if you wanna stay with the red interior lights, just get a sony, they are all around good
heres my setup right now:

if you can afford it get alpine. but you need to look at what type of system you want. if you just wanna add subwoofers to stock then all you need is 1 pair of rca out puts. if you are going to add 2 amps then you need 2 set...etc. also you will wanna look at wheather or not it has crossovers. yes most amps have them now but some do not and you do not wanna have to add a extra cost to the system. you may also want the ability to adjust all rca crossover points between front/ rear and subwoofer channel.
