dynamat placement

alright ive got two wedge packs and a door kit. i would like to put some on the trunk lid so that i can cover it with a trunk lid liner once i find one. what needs to remain uncovered for this? (ie where should the dynamat NOT go). also in the door, where should it go and not go?

dynamat needs to go everywhere. i even went as far as to sound deaden the staples on the back of my rear seat. remove your trunk lid and sound deaden the bars that go up into it, remove your trunk lock and latch and sound deaden under it, and cover your entire trunk lid in sound deadening then close it, take a razor and cut off the excess in the gap from the outside of the car.

well id like to do this in a clean way, if i can help it i just want it to go where it wil be covered by carpet. partially so that if i ever try to resell it the old people who own it wont have to see shiny blindness everytime they open the trunk.

do you have a trunk lid insulator?? if you dont then just follow the frame of hte trunk (where the arms are, and where the lid bulges out) and stay inside there, and the lid insulator will cover that

yes it is, but it is realllllly clost to being the same, just dont go outside the where the weatherstripping would come incontact with the lid
