DVD and screens in 89 Bonnie?
Hi,
Have anyone put a DVD and 1 or more screens in their Bonneville from up to 91? Im thinking of doing that in my car, with a 7"wide lcd in the front, and maybe 7" screens in the headrests. Also, has anyone got the steeringwheels buttons to work with an aftermarket stereo? / Henrik |
I don't think anyone here has installed monitors on any pre 92 vehicles as of yet.
Steering wheel controls can be retained with an aftermarket head unit that has a wireless remote by using this interface: https://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/pr...127swix-f.jpeg Do a Google search for "PAC SWI" to find it online or audio shops in your area may carry it. |
Nobody in a <92, but someone in a '93 ;).
Randy: Wouldn't it be the same for a 93 as far as physical modifying? Then, wouldn't the wiring be the same if you have a source of video other than the screen itself [like generic wiring]. Then, the power source could just be a 12ga wire [depending on the current needed, of course, check your manual for more specifics] ran through the maxifuse, or through one of the blank fuses in the fuse panel. It seems pretty easy to me. -justin |

gameover does have the simplest solution though. |
If you have plastic sun visors like the newer ones, then all you would need to do it is a dremel
