Can anyone out there please tell me how to remove my door panel on my 1999 se ? It looks like the last owner tried and broke some stuff and I would like to upgrade my front speakers while I'm at it. :shake: :flames: :banghead: :urinal: :x :x

Click on Techinfo at the top of the page and search for "door". Instructions for both the front and rear dorrs are included there.

just be very careful when lift the panel off, lift it straight up from one side to another, if you pull it forward it will will rip the panel off it' top frame, i kno from experience

well if it does break its not like its major damage, just 2 pieces seperatign that arent supposed, ive bene told a hot glue gun can be used to reattach it, i havent done it yet but it sounds like it shud work

I am a maintenance tech for a company that makes door panels for BMW and GM (saturn) They are very week and are expensive to replace. I've been told, we sell our Z3 door panels with leather trim to the BMW factory at around $300 a set. I don't want to know what the dealer charges :shhh: You'd think I would be a expert on door panels but, I fix the machines that make them :oops:
