Is there any difference between dual 2 ohm subs and dual 4 ohm, difference in sound i mean . Or is it just the way you can wire them to the amp?

no differance in sound. Its just so u can match your subs impedance to your amp'*. And for powering options. Dual 2 ohm u can run at 2ohm, or 4ohm. Dual 4 ohm u can run at 4ohm or 8 ohm. What amp are you using? how many channels?

You can actually run dual 2'* at 1 ohm or 4 ohm, and dual 4'* at 2 ohm or 8 ohm, or you can run each on a seperate channel to get 2 or 4 respectivley. dual 2 ohm subs can be run at 1 ohm to pull the most power out of an amp, if it is designed to run at 1 ohm. most low end amps will not run safely at 1 ohm. example The kenwood amp i have is rated 890 watts at 2 ohm, and 1019 at 1 ohm

No difference in sound. They may have slightly different T/* parameters, which are all but useless to the average Joe.

As the guy above me said, dual 2 ohms subs can be wired in parallel to 1 ohm or series to 4 ohms, and dual 4s can be wired to 2 or 8 ohms. I think Raptor was a little confused.

not everybody gets 4ohms, like what others said its all about wiring it dif for dif amps, setups etc. my sub is dual 1s and i have my sundown running .5 ohm daily. my amp is stable that low while other amps are stable to say 1 and 2 ohm. you would then get sub with ohms that would match up with that amp. lol sorry if this dont make sense im not the mest at explaining things lol

No difference in sound, only a difference in final ohm loads for your amp
