Custom Speaker Install

Ok so I'm going to need some help here from someone who has some good audio knowledge. What I want to do is this: Install a Rockford Fosgate Punch 2way 6"1/2 60W speaker into my centre consol. Installing it is easy enough, but what I want to know is what would be the best way to wire the speaker. Should I run the speaker off of my amp (150W USAMP currently powering 2 10" Fosgate P1's) or is there some way I can patch a connection on to my JVC head unit. My amp is only 2 channels and my deck is 4, currently all channels are being used. If anyone has any imput or ideas that would help that would be great, thanks!

I didnt mean to put down your question, im sorry if it came off that way

However, i dont understand the reason for doing such a thing. I dont think you will see much if ANY improvement in sound quality or imaging by adding another full-range speaker in your center console... what are you looking to accomplish??? i think maybe another route would be better than what you are thinking

if i were to add another speaker i would do it in the space below the radio, on the floor Between the firewall and the center console

I have to agree with toasted on this. I highly doubt you will gain anything.

there is a reason that there is no center output on headunits.

in audio, more does not always mean better

if youre doing some sort of 5.1 system in your car, go for it. otherwise, it will sound terrible and totally screw up your imaging
