Silverstars. Get them at WalMart for I think it was 30 bucks for the pair. Probably tons less than that.

Was running them in my 98 with no problems whatsoever until I decided to do the headlight mod (highbeam bulbs in the lowbeams)

Now the question is, will running brighter hotter bulbs cause anything to melt down in the lense or wiring for that matter?

Philips Hi-Visibility bulbs offer more light output, but don't have any blue coating on the bulb (this coating cuts down on light output, and causes them to run hotter temps ). They're also not $20 a bulb..

Many people on this board have had short life issues with Silverstars. I've done side by side comparisons in my own vehicle, withh a standard bulb, and a silverstar. Headlights were properly aimed, in a driveway, on a garage door, and on the road there was no difference in performance. The philips had more light, and so far have been great. I've had them 1 year now.

i have found somthing better the SS

All SS and other affter market bulbs that are hologen are about 1000 lumins for low beems and 1700 for high, the SS arnt any brighter then other $10 Hologen ones... they just look cooler

My brother and i have found some IR ones. the low beems are rated at 1700 lumins and high beems are at 2300 lumins.

They came in the Dodge Viper for stock headlights.

Rockauto.com sells them for the High beems and http://www.rallylights.com/ sells the low beems.

There not cheap but should be realy! good and bright!
Lows are $30each and the high beems ar $25 or so.
