Hey guys. I got rid of my 12s a while and just had my amp sitting in my trunk. Today I built a new box and put my new Orion 10s in there, All I did to the amp was hook the power wire back up and moved it around so I could get to the wires through the hole in the rear seat cause my new box is so big. Anywho I got it all in and tested it out and it pounds very hard BUT now when the car is running I got some awful feedback through the subs which I didnt have before. I sparked the remote wire a few times when moving wires around but did nothin else, Anyone have ideas to what it could be? These new subs seem to be alot more sensitive but the feedback is noticible. When I turn the amp to high-pass I get a squealing noise and low bass has a low noice that changes with rpms.

if it changes with RPM that means the noise you are hearing is your alternator.

Fixing this can take a couple of paths. The first thing to try is to upgrade/clean your amp ground. And do the same for the battery and alternator connections.

Also look into the "big 3" upgrade. (search the forum for it)

All wires 2 and from the alternator were replaced and upgraded less then 6 months ago its all 6 guage... one wire does run close to the coil pack though

Then I would suggest recleaning your amp ground.

Another possibility is: are your RCA interconnects run on the opposite side of the car from the power wire?

RCAs are run down the center, 4 guage power down the passenger side, remote wire down the driver side.... And good suggestions on where to run the ground to? That could be the prob

well your amp ground should be to the chassis and realisticly less than 2 feet long.

your remote wire and RCA can be run next to each other. if you have another RCA around I would do some testing and see if moving it farther away helps.
