Delco vs. panasonic cd changer
alright so ive got an idea again.
I wanna add on a Delco CD changer to the 2001 SE. Ive seen posts about parts and "dock n lock" connections, and since i work with pictures and there werent any for me to see, im lost.
Im also under the impression that if GM didnt build the car with the Cd changer, youre kinda screwed. I would then have to run wires from the CD changer to the radio and tie them in/find connecters of somekind. this seems to be the expensive approach, but maybe someone could tell me more on how to install that.
I also am considering the panasonic CX-DP880. its a 8 disc cd changer. the only thing is there is no information on how it would be connected to the car. My 1992 had the RF modulater connection until it broke (that was a long day)
here'* the link, anyone who might have a clue to help me, its highly appreciated. i wanna get it done real soon. were talkin next week.

If you want to install a Delco unit, do you know where to get one?

BTW when I get my system up and working, I'll be posting the process including pictures.

hey,
im not sure what radio your SE has, i just have the AM/FM/CD. (heres a pic) http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/*...fair/Dash2.jpg
I have no idea where to get a Delco CD Changer with all of the wires. Ebay probably just has the changer. When you say "dealer installed", do you mean GM shipped the car without a cd changer and the dealer installed it when the car arrived. Therefore, you can probably install a changer??
I wanna stay 100% OEM, but willing to go to aftermarket if i have to. (what brands are good)
Does anyone have pictures of an install???? thanks

Does anyone have a part list on the CD changer, what i need from GMPD?
And i thought my 2001 was a H body car.
My other option is to leave it alone, i dont want the cheesy look of the aftermarket changer RF thing.
