cell phone noise in the rear speakers

Yo

Ever since I"ve owned my bonneville, It's always had this problem. Whenever i'm making, or receiving a call, sending/receving a txt message, or connecting to a different cell tower, theres this noise coming from teh rear speakers. ONLY the rear speakers. It only does it with my phone, and a few phones in surround cards, NOT my girlfriends. What kind of shielding do I need to stop this noise?

what kind of phone is it?

my phone does the same thing

is it a motorola? or do you have Nextel?

Custom88 07-09-2005 03:23 AM

I'm guessing he has nextel too. Nextel operates at a certain frequency that interferes with radios.

ForeverSilent004 07-09-2005 12:20 PM

cant do anything about it, its interference

CrazyDaveFYM 07-09-2005 06:47 PM

it does it on my motorola V400, and I have cingular. My GF has Cincinnati Bell (buys AT&T and Cingular Airtime) with a V600 (moto) and no problems with hers. I was just curious why my car makes the noise with MY cell phone, and not hers, when none of my parents vehicles makes the same noise?

my gf had a motorola v60 from cingular and the same thing happened in her old 92 maxima...

I'm not sure, but I think I have the same problem. But I have a Nokia 3585i on Sprint PCS network. Only when someone is calling me [aka, when the phone is ringing] it gives static off in the speakers [haven't paid enough attention to see which speakers]. But if I am talking to someone, or calling someone it's fine. Only when my phone is ringing.

at least when you here that noise in the speaker you either know when the phone ring before it rings or that its reading messages for the web

opensourceguy 07-12-2005 01:54 PM

Web? Lmao

I did a little experimenting with this, and it's consistant. But it always goes away as soon as I pick up. Oh well, one more reason not to keep my cellphone on.

haha, I used to do that when my cell phone would make my computer speakers freak out... I would keep the speakers real low, and then if a friend were around and I hear the noise, I would say "oh, my cell phone is about to ring" and then it would ring. It would amaze them every time. "how did you know?!" and I just kept my mouth shut.

Change phone providers and phones...I've never heard anything in the speaks...lol

You'll get interference with any kind of cell phone. Heck, if my phone is too close to my monitor at work it distorts the monitor(older NEC).
