Default SWI-ALP

I know that plenty of people have used the SWI-X on their cars here, but has anybody used the SWI-ALP? It'* basically the same, only the connection to the radio is wired, not through IR transmission. The only problem I'm having is a delayed response. It took me a while to get used to it. IF you hold DOWN the volume button, the headunit wont' respond for about half a second, then the volume climbs for however long you were holding the button. I often turn it up WAY too loud on accident because I forget there is such a lag. Any one else use the ALP version of the SWI?

that would be the SWI-ALP like I used.. Mine works great as well, there' sjust that delay if I hold down the volume button. It works fine if I push the button repeatedly. (it responds immediatley that way)
