Can U install a 12 cd changer- is there a harness in trunk?
 

Does anyone know if it is possible to install a 12 cd changer in a 2004 GXP?

Is there a wiring harness already installed in the trunk?

You can install a factory 12 disc changer. If you can get a hold of a factory harness or know of someone that can make one. GM discontinued their part number

I bought the correct GM 12 Disc changer from a local salvage yard out of a '05 GXP for my '05 GXP and it is sitting in the garage in the box. I have had NO luck on locating a wiring harness to install it. Anyone on here know where or who makes one? Black Pearl is correct GM discontinued their part number. Mine has been sitting in the garage for two years waiting on a wiring harness.

The only one I knew who was making them is on hiatis from the forum

if you can find one on car-part.com localy go there and cut the harness out of the trunk and patch it in to yours it will be a pigtail about 15" long

It's a little more involved than just splicing the pigtail in. You need a couple terminals for the dock and lock connector and a Class II Serial bus and another thing or two to make the additional harness for the CDX

I have this one delco # 16199553 made dec 98 cd changer. al will that go in a 2003 bonneville ssei?

what is that gasket replacement?

where is that plug in the trunk? left-right side?
