Whine noise???
Hey guys, girls Iet me first say I have a aftermarket stearo system in my car. ( obviously if you look at my profile thing ) I am running a Pioneer Deh P6800MP Headunit. ( everything else is listed at bottom if you need to know )..
now the problem is, when ever I hit the gas pedal it makes this whine noise the whole time! And if I turned down my amp, then I have to turn my headunit up to like 40 just to hear it mildly loud ( not loud, not to low ) Is there a way to fix that? New headunit??

Doesn't this, or could it, have something to do with the alternator??? Isn't there something within them that cancels out some noise that they make? Maybe that is dysfunctional?

Do you have your power and rca wires running down the same side of the car? I had the problem and I moved the rca wires to the other side and it stopped.

Yes, I make it a habit to run the power leads and the audio leads on opposite sides of each other, especially if the audio leads are not shielded.
Your headunit could also be picking it up via its own power connections. A ground-loop isolator can take care of that for you.

Ok so this isolater may take it away? How do I hook this up? I didn't install any of my audio ( really wished I did now ). Also just to make sure do you guys think it isn't the headunit, cause I remember with this crappy headunit I always had to crank it up pretty high just to get some music out of it ( and I'm not deaf, nor close )

I wouldn't bother with the isolater just move the RCA'* to the other side of the car, away from the power and ground wires.
The isolater is just a band-aid, and I have my doubts as to if it will correct the problem.
Good Luck,
Dutch

i agree with all about it being the wires ran with the power wires on the same side..
and if sound whine still is noticable then that means who ever hooked up your remote wires connected them to the wrong place... they must go to the aftermarket radio'* remote wire.. not to any wires from the car.. or you will hear noise... hope this helps..

it could be the alternator or it could be the noise cancelling feature. Usally there is something hooked to the audio to micro improve it to the tne of your car so you can hear it over your engine AKA: the radio gets a little louder and quieter with the engine RPM. You can really hear a difference but the same thing went bad in my parents Yukon. It was a brand new truck and no changes were made and it started to do it so all we had to do was take it in sice under warranty :?
