Default AUX specifically... 2005 SE

I tried searching both here and on Google but I find so many different things I don't know for sure whats what.

Here is what I have - 2005 SE with Factory HU & Factory XM and NO CD Changer, however, I have the AUX/CD button or what ever it is and a single CD player, no tape.

What exactly do I do to get an AUX input on this radio? I just cancelled my XM since and I would like to be able to hook up my mp3 player and or iPod and or portable Sat Player once I figure out what I really want.

Has anyone done this on an '05?

Do I connect the PIE device to where XM comes in, in the trunk? Is there a cable in the trunk for a CD changer that I use, or do I connect it to the HU directly where the CD changer cable would plug in? If once I do find somewhere to plug it in - can I still use the factory XM if I where to turn it back on?

Is it 9, 10 or 12 Pin.. Will it even work with my Radio?

See, I am left with more questions then answers - and trying to avoid calling the local 'shop'...

TIA!

some times you can install an aux input right behind the head unit and other times you have to go to the trunk. Call PIE and ask them.
