basic stupid questions...stock speaker size.
 

hey. a few quick questions here...

i have a '93 lesabre with the 6 speaker system. i'd like to upgrade the speakers to some nice component sets but i need to know what are the stock speaker sizes?

Is this the Concert sound system with the tweeters in the front doors?

fronts 6" rear doors 5.25" and deck 6x9 at least it should be

No rear door speakers in the older cars... I'm thinking 5.25 - 6 in the front and 6x9 in the rear deck... If its the Concert sound it should be a 5.25 front Woofer with a tweeter...

Marik you may have to sneak a peek at that speaker in the front... I do believe its a 5.25 but can't say that 100%..

Look on the underside of the trunk deck, I'm quite sure the rear is 6x9

yeah, it's the "concert sound" i guess they're in the rear deck, the front doors and i have no idea where the tweeters are.

The fronts could very well be 4x6 in LeSabres of that vintage.

If so, i got some Pioneer 2-ways sitting here needing a home ;)

i'd guess the tweeters are in the front right next to the speakers

if it has the tweeters in the front that speakers are 5.25" and the rear deck are 6x9s

I have a stock set of rear deck 6x9s in the garage if you need 'em. ;)
