Default type of amp?

Hey guys I was looking at getting this subwoofer http://www.crutchfield.com/*-Rkvu2hi...520&I=1081250W for my 01 SE

Also getting these front component speakers http://www.crutchfield.com/*-Rkvu2hi...10&I=107DB6500

And these rear speakers http://www.crutchfield.com/*-Rkvu2hi...300&I=107DB690

What kind of amp do you recommend me to get to power all of this off of a Pioneer DEH-P6800MP??

you could try a 5 channel if you only want one amp. My suggestion would be to get a 4 channel amp that supplies 50ish watts rms and then a seperate amp for the subwoofer.

you budget will determine what amps you get.

The 800 Watt amp gives my 2 subs 460 watts bridged.

I agree I am fan pioneer amps, they are very nice and not hard on the bank, get you a 4 channel for the front and rears, but my owner personal way of tuning even now, rear have very little gain on amp, use the on the fronts to make you cars sound great it is not hard just have to listen then walk back to trunk and tune a little, On the subs get a 2 channel and if you have 2 subs you have a channel per sub, if only one then you can bridge it.

300W RMS sub
100 W RMS x 2 for front components
100 W RMS x 2 for rear speakers

So you are looking at a 700W RMS amp to fill the power requirements (don't be fooled by the RMS "range" of the speakers...you must use the highest RMS available when planning the system, otherwise your speakers will be underpowered).

Choose any amp that fits your budget. I prefer Kicker myself, but that may not be someone elses preference. What matters the most is the amps RMS output, not it'* max (which is what alot of amps are rated at, so be aware of that when shopping around).

You definately do not have to use the highest RMS listed. there is NOTHING wrong with underpowering speakers.
