Aux Input Trunk Hookup -- Please Help!

Hey there,
Newbie here. I'm trying to hook up my mp3 player to my stereo, through my trunk. I picked up PAC's Universal Auxiliary Input Converter and a vehicle specific harness for my Bonneville 2002 (the AB-GM10 harness), but don't know where I'm supposed to hook it up in the trunk.

There is no installed CD changer back there, but there are some wires that look like they're made and ready for a CD changer. I tried connecting some stuff (one of the plugs even actually fit), but when I turned on the car and hit the AUX button, nothing happened.

Do any of you have any experience with setting up this system? I have the creeping feeling that it's very easy and I'm just missing something obvious. Any help would be appreciated (and apologies if this is already posted somewhere else, but I couldn't find it!). I'm no techie or mechanic, so this is just frustrating the hell out of me.

If this is an aftermarke headunit with aux. inputs, are you sure you connected them in back of the HU?

Also, I am not aware of cars coming "pre-config" for audio in the trunk, beside rear deck speakers. Of course I am not an expert on this.

But I would check the back of the HU and make sure its connected and if not, you may have to run cables from the HU to your trunk for this.

If there is a connection, you may have to trace the connection to see where it is going.
