Audiovox FMM-100 for iPod

Searched, didn't find anything. Does anyone have any experience with this product? It appears to be an FM modulator which would plug into the antenna, allowing an external audio source (iPod!!!) to be more or less hard wired into the radio, utilizing a directly connected input on an FM frequency. It would neither charge the iPod, nor allow usage of the steering wheel buttons. But it possibly presents an option that allows a clear iPod signal without losing XM. I've looked into both the Periperal and PAC iPod products, but both note that the XM signal will be disabled once the device is installed. I currently have an FM transmitter for the iPod, and it is worse than a 1970 transistor radio as far as audio quality. Looks like this would be similar to an AUX input on an after-market stereo or my wife's AcuraTL.
