Audiovox Alarms

Are audiovox alarms any good? When compared to viper or python and others like that?

I like 'em. It was one of the two products that I sold and installed when I was self employed. Good reliablility. Unfortunately, I've not done a whole lot with DEI products so I can't give an opinion as to how the two compare.

i think they both offer a limited lifetime warrenty so it just matters on what features your looking for

They are fine. The real important thing in an alarm is the installation. If someone does a botch job on the wiring, I guarantee you will hate your car and the alarm....trust me, I know from experience on previous cars.

Agreed... I've had both Audiovox and Viper alarms, and had no problems with either. The Audiovox I installed myself, and the Viper was professionally installed. The Viper has a lot more bells and whistles (it's on my '69 Executive), but it was a lot more expensive too.
