Anyway of keeping the stock deck on 2002 SSEi and just adding more power?

Hi,

I would like to keep my stock deck on my 2002 SSEi and just add a little more power and change the speakers...

I sound is ok for me, but it needs to go a little louder...

I would also change all 8 speakers...

Let me know if there is a way.

Thanks!

IMO... the only way to get more power out of it without changing the head unit would be to put in a small inline amp, but on the stock setup would be difficult. Replacing the speakers in the car MIGHT get you a more crisp cleaner sound but wouldn't be any more powerful without an amp boosting it because you still running off the same power from the head-unit

talk with a couple of our Audio Gearheads... I know Black_Friday has his own audio shop, so he would know for sure, try pm'ing him to see if he knows

good luck :w3

i think you could add the aftermarket speakers then amp them with an amp that has high level inputs.. but im not entirely sure.

i consider my self somewhat knowledgable on car audio, changing out the inside speakers will give you some improvement but it will only be as much as the quality of the new speakers will give you. yeah it will def sound better but unless you change the head unit you will not max out the potential of your inside speakers, an aftermarket stereo puts out more watts . also im not a big fan of hooking up an amp to a factory stereo just cuz of all the extra wiring involed and the fact that u will be driving your sounds thru a factory stereo. I had a 99 Bonneville SE (i miss her) and did the system on that and it was childs play, I just got a 2000 Black SSEi and i am so not looking forward to doing this one, sounds like the wiring is alot more of a pain in the ass. Oh yeah look at the output db level of the new speakers you are going to buy has. the higher the louder obviously

You can put a line out adapter to add an amp and sub. That would help the bass situation. If you change the speakers out, you'll get better sound and clarity. It might it sound more powerful
