Alarm/auto start
So I did a little searching around the forum and couldn't find much of an answer. The answer I did find was from 2004. My question is about an alarm/auto start for my car. I'm really looking for opinions and suggestions on which one to get. I just saw the Viper SmartStart System. I can use my iPhone to unlock and start my car. I know it'* a bit pricey, but I'm not sure if it'* worth it. Anyone have any input? I'd sure like to hear from you. Thank you.
*edit*
I just realized that it'* not an actual alarm system. So I think that'* out.

The Directed SmartStart is still very new. although it works fine it is expensive so that'* completely up to you. the unit runs $500 plus install. plus a monthly fee for the service.
a Comparable 1-mile 2way might be your best bet. Here'* a Link to the New Stuff, Newest Technology. I currently have the 1091, but I install the 991 quite often (as well as the 1401, and 413) they seem to be the most popular.

Edit: I didnt see you wanted an alarm combo. I have a Brand New Refurbished Viper 791XV Alarm/Remote Start Id sell outright (youd have to have a shop by you install it, or you for that matter) for $250 shipped via paypal. they retailed for $500 a couple years ago, got this unit after a previous brain was shot. pm if interested I have UPS Station at work and can get it out tomorrow, otherwise it might be going in my baby mama'* car lol

I got the Viper 5901 for $208 (retails for like $600) and then a bypass for the PassKey III system for like $26 (you would use the Passlock II bypass for your car)
on Ebay just the Viper sells for like $230, I got everything for $228 I think
then I am taking it to a professional installer, I have done a lot but this is just too much work and the warranty is no good unless a professional does it, I think it is abour $150 for the installation, but I have used this model and it is really cool, I added the radar field disturbance sensor myself to one and it just plugs right in

All you need is the "Kit" car Red LED'* that scan back and forth when someone walks by Crunk! The unit doesn't have computer generated voice warnings by chance?
