Default Do I need a cap?

Just wondering. I have the subs and amps in my sig, I do not really notice any dimming or anything, but electrical system seem to be funny ever since I put them in. Oh, and I also have those neons running now.

You shouldnt need a cap... thats not alot of power.. but I suppose you can try hooking up a cheap digital cap from walmart.. If it doesnt seem to help then just take it back...

Is everything power/manual in your car. A cap is going to place the same amount of draw on the charging system as one without a cap but not as quickly. If everything is all power and you plan on adding more amps/accesories then I would upgrade the alt. If you have manual everything then you should be fine. If Im not mistaken the stock alt. are a 105 amps or so. If you have power everything you are right at the border without adding acc.

Definatly a Cap with the stock alternator and a good batt should do the trick... but you might even try running dual batt'*

Thats all going to depend on how big of a system you are going to get. But the 160 amp should be fine if your arent going to run that big of a system.
