Default remote wire and power antenna.

So I have had my HU in for a while now and the power antenna works fine. Until today, when I ran another remote wire so I could run my amps off of it. When I connected the remote wire to the amp the power antenna went down. The amps are not connected to a power source though.

So basicly:
antenna connected to stock wiring which is connected to remote wire on HU.
ran a new wire for amps.
when I connect that wire the antenna goes down.
but the amp I connected it to is not connected to any power source, only grounded.

what'* the problem?

there should be a seperate wire of the HU or the Connector for the power antenna. You should not be using a remote turn on for your antenna

well there is the antenna signal wire thingy. but crutchfield said that the other wire for the antenna (in the GM wire harness) should connect to the remote turn on (so it tells it when to go up and down)
