power antenna
Not sure where to post this. I tried a search, but couldn't find a hit. I have always wanted to know this answer.
We had freezing rain yesterday and the antenna froze in the off position (down in the car). Will the power keep trying to raise it while the sterio is on, and burn out the motor,or does the power to the antenna quit after the first rotation?

It will try to raise it for a period of time, then give up. It'* not good for it, but it would be far WORSE if it were frozen in the raised position and you tried to lower it. That'* when the nylon 'string' breaks.
