Default cd changer issues

My cd changer just quit working the other day. It says player error on the deck when I try to use it. When I open the door to it the cartridge wont eject either I was hoping someone here knows possibly how to fix it or where to start. I really dont want to take it to the dealer.
Thanks for any advice you may have.

Can you provide some additional details...

What happened at the time of the problem (ie were you changing discs, hit large bump in road, just loaded the magazine, etc)?
When you open the door, is the light on?
Have you checked the fuse?

Unfortunately there aren't a lot of diagnostic procedures to follow. The FSM recommends checking for bad wiring connections. Beyond this, it isn't really a user serviceable item. Post whatever information you can around the circumstances when it failed and we'll see what we can come up with.

Yup the light works. I dont know what it was doing when it quit my wife had the car and said it just wasn't working. From what I can tell it is stuck on the #12 disc. I'm thninking about pulling it and droping it of at a local audio shop.

Depending on what'* wrong a local shop may be able to fix it. Since it doesn't appear to be a power or connection issue, it will likely need to be pulled (as you mentioned).

United Radio Service is an authorized service centre and would have or be able to get any parts required. They're in East Syracuse, NY.

I've had good past experiences with them.
