Can I wire this amp to these subs? And how do I it?

Default Can I wire this amp to these subs? And how do I it?

I have a Ultra Linear 4 Channel 1000W RMS amplifier and 2 Volfenhag DVC (4 ohms per coil) 500W RMS 12" subs. I will put the stats for the amp below and a link for the specs on the subs also.

Amplifier;

1000 Watts RMS Power
2 x 500 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms
4 X 250 Watts RMS @ 2 Ohms
4 x 125 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms
2 ohm stable
50Hz-250Hz Low Pass Filter
50Hz-250Hz High Pass Filter
Frequency Response: 20Hz-20kHz
Full MOSFET circuitry
Thermal, short circuit, and overload protection circuit
0 - 18 db variable bass boost @ 45 Hz
102dB Signal Noise Ratio
THD: <0.05%

Subwoofers; (they are the 12" ones)

http://www.volfenhagaudio.com/subwoofer_hp.html

Please let me know how to wire these properly. I do not understand ohms at all!

Thanks,

What are the specs on the amp with the subs wired down to 2 ohms @ 2 channels? I'm thinking this if your amp will support it and get the best specs this way:

Do you have a box yet for your 2 subs ?

Make sure the box you have or buy has a set of terminals, one for each sub (pos & neg and pos & neg).

If not you will have to modify the box and add a second terminal cup or exchange it for another.

Regards,
Dutch

I'm getting a sealed box. It has 2 sets of terminals so I should be Good 2 go. I decided I am going to return this 4 channel amp and get a 2 channel that puts out 2 x 500W RMS @ 2 ohms and wire it like the one guy suggested. My car is going to POUND!
