Alternate GM Head Unit

I have been looking on ebay for a stock cd head unit. Can anyone tell me if a head unit out of a sunfire will work in a Bonneville? If it doesn't work, why?

92-93 require a specific unit for the ACC display (bonne only)
94-99 have a different unit ( pontiac radio)
00+ have a differnt unit (pontiac radio)

your 98 CD should work in her sunflower. 94-99 interchanged with all other pontiacs
