Well guys, I have a set of two 10" neons in the mail as a Christmas Break project...

They are white, and they are going outside of the car, not inside this time around. Here is the question.

Should I put them in "Spot A" between the fog lights to light up that area of the air dam.

Or should I put them in "Spot B" behind the grille? Or do you think one 10" tube in each place will be bright enough?

i have 2 15" behind the grille. that is the best place for them because they light up the grille and they light up the lower air dam

Heh, that won't be entirely necessary, unless you want to show your car off like I like to do.

I have seen your car, and I am basically going for the same look as you (sorry, I am a copy cat), except with green on the interior...which I have already started a bit.

So you don't even have neon specifically lighting the lower air dam? The ones behind the grille light up both?

I already have a switch installed in my car that is rated for 10 amps. I have a 5 amp (I think it was) "indicator light" installed on my switch, but other than that the light doesn't turn anything on. I seem to be unable to locate how much current neon draws. For the two 10 inch tubes is it typically less than 5 amps? What happens if I go over the amperage rating on the switch?

Next, how did you wire it? Did you go directly off the battery? What gauge wire did you run?

for a switch i have just have the neons alone on that switch, wouldnt worry about blowing out anything.

I used the heated windshield spot in my drop down fuse block with a connector to run my grille neons, underbody kit and the angle eyes

i used 16 gague wire for all my accessories

Can you expand a bit upon this for me? Drop down fuse block the one under the dash? And you wired into the heated windshield fuse?

Also the first image does not work, nor does the link...is it just me?

yes there is a drop down fuse block right above the driver foortwell. Your 94 may not have this, in not sure

anyway, there is a spot in the fuses for the heated windshiled in my car, but there is no fuse but there is power. So I took a terminal connector and connected it to the heated windshield and put a fuse on the power wire, hooked the ground up to the bolt in the parking brake and walla i have power for the Grille neons, underbody kit, and abgle eyes only when the Key is on.

for all my interior neons i have them hooked to the CCR fuse in the same fuse block. Again there is no fuse for the CCR but there in power going through there. I took a terminal connector with a fuse and a ground wire and i have 13 interior neons hooked to that

Ahhh...the more we talk and the more I look around in my car and manual the more confused I get....lol

CCR - computer command ride? Do you remember what the location is for this fuse so I can check mine for power?

Heated windshield, I cannot seem to find anything like this in the fuse panel or in the manual. There are a ton of fuse positions labeled "not used." Would some of these be for features that my car doesn't have? Yet maybe there is still power going to some of them?

One other thing. I think this is what I am going to try to do if you think it will work. There is a fuse in the drivers side panel labeled "auxiliary outlet." I would imagine this is like the power "outlets" that many cars have, yet mine does not. I can't imagine what would actually be on this fuse, since both cigarette lighters have their own individual fuse. Any ideas?

Very last question. All this fuse stuff got me interested in the maxifuse/relay center which is usually located in the engine bay...I can't find mine. Where is it on the bonneville?

yes i think that the 93 only have the drop down fuse bolck

and the CCR is what i used

the heated windshield was only an option in 92 and 93

the Maxifuse relay center it behind the sturt tower bar on the passenger side of the car. It is covered with a plack plastic the says "Maxifuse/Relay center"
