My gauge wont turn on and I cant figure out why? I have the red power wire sharing the the fuse with the radio using an "add a circuit" thing and the OBDII plugged in. Still nothing ...Any ideas??

Did you check for 12V at the red wire? Do you have a good ground? Is there a fuse in the back of the gauge? Did you check all the fuses in case you blew one hooking the gauge up? Could also be a defective gauge, but check everything else first.

-used an "add a fuse" to share with the radio... radio and everything else works...
-I did buy the gauge used off craigslist... really hope I wasn't sold a bunk gauge lol

I would not ground it to the OBD connector. Ground it to a metal bracket that is mounted to the body somewhere.

Look on the back of the gauge to see is there is an access opening for a fuse in the gauge itself. I don't know there is one, just want you to check.

You could try temporarily hooking the gauge directly to the battery to see if it powers up.

Definitely check the red wire at the gauge to see if you have power.

Theres no fuse in the back and it actually plugs into the OBD connector. The ground is a one of the pins in the connector... according to the manual I got from there site.

Do you have a picture of the back of your gauge? I don't remember needing to run power for mine.. It'* just powered over OBD from what I remember. Just plug it in and go.

Yeah I can get a picture tm. Do you have a 2000+ bonne? I have a 98 with I thought needed the power wire, it would turn on when I just had the OBD plugged in either
