Aftermarket head unit install problems
I have a 2000 SSEi with the factory bose head unit, amp, etc. Currently i am hooking up an Alpine head unit, its a CDA-9883. The new alpine head unit turns on and everything functions, but i can not get any sound out of my factory speakers. I messed with different settings on the head unit for like an hour but still cant get any sound. Could the head unit not be communicating with the factory bose amp? Im using the scoshe gm harness and have checked that i have everything spliced together right multiple times. I also have two alpine type r'* and an alpine m1000 amp hooked up and get plenty of sound out of the subs but absolutely nothing out of my stock speakers. Any ideas??

try hooking your old radio back up and see if the speakers work then, if they dont you might either need to run a separate amp and hardwire the speakers or hardwire them from the back of the alpine. if they do work then your bose amp isnt getting turned on from the new deck, and you might need to hardwire them still or run to a local shop and have them check it out
