I agree the bose and monsoon systems were not the best. My dad was trying to decide if he wanted a 2007 F150 or a 2007 Silverado and his deciding factor was the stereo. Bose sound like junk and the Mach system in the F150 was hands down better

Alright, well I've decided to rewire the whole car. It'll sound a heck of a lot better and it'* really not that hard. I've got everything in place except for my front door speakers which I think I'm going to get 6.5'* to install. The speakers I want say they have a top mount depth of 2 3/8". Do you guys think I have enough room in my door to mount those?
Again I have a 95 SSE. Also do you think I can run my 200w RMS amp with a 250w Sub ( Infinity Reference 1052i 10") safely on the stock alternator?
