2006 Grand Prix GT Rear Speakers

I have been working on upgrading my speakers, I got some Rockford Fosgate Punch speakers for my front door, and rear speakers.
What I do not get is why the rear speakers sounded crappy before, and still sound kind of crappy.
The front factory speakers have not been replaced yet, but they still sound better than the Rockford 6x9's that I installed in the rear.
I don't think I have a Monsoon system, as I have no center dash speaker, or any subs anywhere, nor could I find any amp in the trunk, or under any seats.
Anybody have any idea as to why the rear speakers would be getting less power from the factory head unit than the front speakers?

I guess I may have to break down and replace the head unit, but considering the features I want it may take me way over what I hoped to spend before I know if I am actually going to get this job I applied for.
I am looking at 400.00 just for a 300.00 head unit I want, a Pioneer with DVD and touch screen, and 100.00 for the stuff to keep all factory things working, like steering wheel audio controls.

I'd love to add an aftermarket amp for all 4 speakers, but I am thinking that may be more trouble than it is worth unless I update the HU first...

Stayed up so I could install my front door speakers while it was cool out, and it was pretty easy, well getting the door panels off, and speakers out anyway. I had to get my dremel out and grind away some plastic and metal from around the new Rockford Fosgate speakers, as these damn tab like things kept the speaker from mounting ion the factory mounting bracket. After like 1hr grinding on each speaker I got them to fit nicely. And even though I am still using my factory deck, it sounds pretty good.. In the future once I get a job I'm going to throw in a touch screen DVD player, and a decent 4 channel amp to give each speaker a little more power.. And maybe one day I'll get a little monoblock amp and put 1 sub in, nothing overboard like I used to do back in the day... Before I get any subs Dynomat comes first though, I hate having nasty sounding rattling all over the car when the bass hits.... Here are the speakers I put in the door panel, not the best speakers, but they'll do for a while... I still need to replace my tweeters, but I am in no hurry since I went from 2 way to 3 way up front... Rockford Fosgate Punch P1675 6-3/4" 3-way car speakers at Crutchfield.com

I should have gotten some speakers that I could run at 2 ohms, but I'll just run these till I can afford to get some good speakers with 2 ohm drivers..

Here is what my front speakers look like, parts circled are where I had to grind down plastic, and metal so they would fit.
It actually sounds good now, but one day I'll get a new deck, and add an Amp and Capacitor.

Here is a pic of the old speakers that were in the car, happy to have replaced them.
The Pioneer are what I had in the Park Ave, they are going back in the Park Ave...

I just sit on the deck with my smartphone and my little Bose Bluetooth speaker......freakin' amazing sound....listening to Amazon Prime....with a 7&7....until the skeeters attack....

I wish my factory deck could connect with my phone, I think there may be a way to mod it so it works with the aux input, but I am not totally sure. And instead if doing all of that I'd just rather install a factory deck.
