I can't speak of pre-2K because of my limited experience (although I would think there should be a way), but the 2000 MY radio is definitely out. These must see a valid VIN on a data bus before they will power up. No compatible data bus exists on the '99 and earlier Bonneville.

Well, I am not 100% sure, but looking at this Techinfo article; http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...e=article&k=95 It looks like the '94 - '99 stereo might be the same. The link talks about upgrading a '92 / '93 stereo to '94 - '99.

I've seen the connectors and yes, they are the same. The wires all match up.
