Front Speaker wire color help needed
I have a 1995 Bonneville SLE and just recently replaced the front speakers, I figured I'd follow that the stock speakers red and black on the speaker itself before the connector was (red) positive (black) negative. Somehow my Pioneer 5 1/4 3-ways sound like garbage compared to what I was hoping while my 6x9 5-ways sound simply amazing. I was wondering if someone could tell me the connector color that'* positive/negative for each side (before speaker), i'd really appreciate it.

You have the polarity on the RF backwards. From Directed'* tech site...but just standard GM radio colors
LF Speaker +/- tan - gray +,- radio harness
RF Speaker +/- lt. green - dk. green +,- radio harness
LR Speaker +/- brown - yellow +,- radio harness
RR Speaker +/- dk. blue - lt. blue +,- radio harness
the way I remember it, dark in the rear is positive, lights in the front are positive. The LF sometimes is tough to recall between tan and gray, so I remember gray=ground=negative

If thats the case, then I stand corrected but in my professional experience I've never seen that speaker'* wire colors switch varying on the RPO, and I have a 95 SLE. I'm curious now, I'll keep an eye out next time I get one in my garage or deside to pull the deck out of the old Bonnie. Thanks for the info
