Default How do you clean those exhaust tips on a SSEi?

My exhaust tips have this nasty black stains. I tried cleaning them with Simple Green and a plastic brush with no luck. Does anyone have any hints on how to clean these tips?

Thanks

I use an aluminum cleaning paste. AutoSol Metal Polish.
Rub it on and buff it off.
Keeps em looking new.
Works on all bare metals including stainless and chrome.

Thanks, I will give it a try. Now i know why the changed the tips to the oval kind, a real pain to clean. Not to mention the mags. :(

If you have the optional chrome aluminum, they are really easy to keep clean.
They are the best option I ordered.
Unlike the standard aluminum wheels....they can be a challenge.

Our shop has acid that they use on aluminum wheels and it is great on the exhaust tips also. I wet them first then spray on the acid and then almost immediately spray it off. They went from jet black back to like new real quick.
