It'* happened twice in 2 weeks. Bad T-storm and I find 1-2" of water behind the drivers seat.

Headliner is dry and I don't see "run" marks on the doors/windows. I poured water on the sunroof and it did not leak. It did start after I got the car tinted. :?: :?:

Take it to a pressure wash and spray around the door with someone inside watching to see where it'* coming from. I'm thinking a seal around the door is the problem.
Also, were you driving in the rain or was the car parked the whole time it was raining?
Also, were the rear struts replaced ever? If so were the rubber seals put on top? My sisters 1997 GP GT had it'* rear struts replaced sometime before she bought the car. He trunk kept filling with water and we thought either the trunk seal or the oh-so-common leak around the spoilers mounting studs. Then I pull the trunk carpet away from the quarter panels to find rust and water run-marks like it was nobodies business. Sealed up the top of the struts and no more water.

Anyhow, whatever you find out for a cause I'm sure there are other Y2k-newer owners here who would like to know what to do in case this happens to them.

Pull the interior door skin left rear door. Check the butyl sealer between water deflector & door frame.

I have now also found the batt sitting in 2" of water also. I soaked the car down with a hose aiming a solid stream on the sunroof and door seals at every angle. Door was dry past the seal. I opened the roof and sprayed the drip guards and it drained like it should. Now the storm was bad - the base flooded about 3' but hell my IROC with t-tops never flooded like this in a storm. It keeps making me wonder if the guys that tinted it did something. But I sprayed the back and side windows and no leaks showed.
I guessI'll have to sit through the next storm in the back seat .

Default Water Leak

I had the same water leak. They said it was comming in from the wheel well somewhere. That is why I could not find any water marks from the headliner or doors. The backset floor was soaked, as well as under seat. The dealer did the work for me and the problem had never returned. I have an '02.

I checked it out again w/o the back seat installed. After hitting up some car buddys they said it'* the sunroof drain holes are clogged. You can see holes in the front corners. But are there back ones? I poured water in the lip so it ran tward the back of the roof and low and behold water started pouring out be where the door still and back trim meets. SO is it clogged OR once again GM forgot something and the rrof will only drain right if it'* parked nose low? I really don't want to take the headliner and rear trim apart.

I cleaned out the elbow tubes that exit the body and found out that one of the drain lines was misplaced when the car was built. It was being pinched near the back roof handle by the headliner. They did not seat it in it'* preformed channel. I had storm over night and the floor was dry! Yea!
