Windshield washer
 

:confused:Well, I noticed that under the hood the hose that goes into firewall right under the cabin air filter was broken a couple months ago. I figured it went to the washer fluid since it did not work, and just had not replaced yet. I started car yesterday and had loud humming noise under hood. I located to washer pump, the tank was dry. So, I stop at gas station and refilled tank and turned on car. Ok the sound stoped,. then fluid started shooting out of the broken hose all over engine. I tried to plug hole with a screw I had, but to much pressure. Finally, I just removed fuse to keep motor from running all the time. So, why would motor all of a sudden try to start pumping, without me hitting the button to do so?

Does that run off of a relay? Check your maxifuse panel to see if it's listed there.
